insomniac=me

It is currently 1:03 on my clock, and I am STILL up. I have been SUCH an insomniac these last couple of nights. Plus I've been having weird dreams. Anyway, I digress...


I have random thoughts at night:

First, a tribute to my GIRLS:
I love you girls. For listening to me bitch and whine sometimes. For telling me about your lives, feelings, and frustrations so we can all vent together (hey, I guess we are all pretty normal). For being genuine and real. For everything. From fashion to religion, we talk about everything, and I am SO THANKFUL for all of you.

I heart diet coke. So much that I probably drank about 2 liters tonight at a'bees. I'm really going to be in trouble someday if that stuff actually does cause cancer...

I get to talk to B on Friday!! Like the day after tomorrow's tomorrow!! (Follow that?)

I am currently doing what is called the "senior slide" As in, please just give me my diploma so I can leave? Thanks.

OH!!! I almost forgot!!! I LOVE that you are leaving comments for me, my dear faithful readers. They're like a little present in my inbox every time. Kind of like text messages are a present on your cell. Except blog-o-liscious.



Pretty much whenever I write in here I'm 85% delirious. You all are going to start thinking I'm losing my mind or something (psst... its true, I am).

Just another day...

Who invented Mondays anyway? Yuck...

Sleep didn't come easy last night... I'm pretty sure I tossed and turned all night :(

Military relationships are hard! Such a newsflash, right? :) I'm just trying to stay busy and not think about B as much as possible. But man, this just sucks. I haven't talked to him for about 3 weeks now... Another 6 to go. Its hard to imagine doing a whole year-long deployment -- but at least then we'd be able to talk every couple of days. I guess we'll have to figure out how to deal with that when/if it happens.

Enough whining from me...

On a happy note: the holiday season is coming, QUICK! Halloween this week, Thanksgiving next month, then CHRISTMAS!! I love this time of the year (despite the ever-dropping temperatures and snow clouds looming). I already have a pretty good idea of what I'm getting everybody - ha, I'm such a dork! :) Only thing I don't know is what I want! Mostly just to spend some QT with my boyga and then move downstate. So my dear faithful readers, what are YOU asking Santa for this year? Leave a comment with your list!

Woot!

I talked to another HR recruiter today... This time for JPMorgan Chase's management development program. And... I got another interview! Yay!! This one will be on Nov 14th, downstate. Hopefully J doesn't mind if I crash at "home" again ;) inside joke. Anyway, moving on...

B's not going to know what hit him! The next time I see him I'll be a bonafide college graduate with a CAREER (crossing my fingers).

Soon I'll be living the high life... Driving around an escalade, buying a house, wearing designer threads.... Um. Well kind of. As in still driving my malibu, renting with roomates, and shopping at Plato's Closet. TOTALLY the same thing! At least it will be all mine: the big girl job, starting my adult life.

Speaking of being an adult, since I haven't tricked any millionaires into being my sugar daddy, I have to sign up for my own health insurance in about a month. BC/BS has a good bare bones "young adult" coverage plan that I'll probably go for. What happened to the good old days where you got married at 18 and didn't have to worry about these kinds of things? Sheesh.

I'm feeling a little fiesty today, can you tell? :-)

1. 3rd & final interview scheduled with Enterprise in November!! woot woot!

2. Absolutely nailed a presentation in class today.

3. After my presentation tomorrow for psychology, I'm pretty much done for the week.

4. DATE NIGHT TONIGHT!! .... with Caroline :)

5. beautiful fall colors in the photos attached

6. my alarm woke me up this morning, and I didn't miss any classes!

7. the puppy had been cuddling with me all afternoon. hey, its nice to have something to cuddle with! ;-)


pretty darn good day. onwards and upwards!

monday morning blues

For the second day in a row I've hit "dismiss" on my alarm instead of "snooze"... And promptly slept right through my first class of the day. My sleepy subconscience must really want me to fail my classes and stay in the yoop forever! Ahhh!

I just got back from detroit last night... I had a great weekend! I hung out with J and E all weekend, who I haven't seen in FOREVER it feels like! Ate dinner at the Brighton House Restaraunt, which was deliscious! And also had live entertainment (an old guy singing, who was actually really good)!

The reason I made the trip down on my shoestring college budget was to interview with Enterprise. The first one went well - I got a second interview that same day! Now I'm just waiting to see if I got the 3rd and final interview.

Speaking of interviews, I still haven't heard back yet from Cat - who I interviewed with after Career Day at MTU.

So, two leads in the job arena as of now... I'm continueing to scan the search engines almost every day looking for other openings I am qualified for. We'll see.

Anyway, I really should get going to my second class! What a crappy start to a Monday...
